Colllege and universities are required by the Clery Act to release statistics on campus crime, including sexual offenses, by October 1st each year.

By October 1st every year, colleges and universities around the country are required to report statistics about crime on their campuses, including sexual offenses. We're taking a look at those numbers, and talking about sexual assault at our local colleges - and how some of those schools are taking on the issue.

We're joined by Lianne Tuomey,  chief of the University of Vermont police services. And by Amy Bremel, who coordinates Castleton University's CHANGE - or "Creating Honoring Advocating Nurturing Gender Equity" program.

Also on the program, another installment of Dorothy's List! Amy Noyes takes us to New Haven where students at Beeman Elementary School have been reading the novel "Under the Egg" by Laura Marx Fitzgerald.

Broadcast live on Monday, October 5, 2015 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
