Lt. Gov. Phil Scott had the opportunity to cast a deciding vote in the Senate this year.

The recent legislative session ended with a flurry as the budget was approved. During the session a clean water bill was passed, as well as an education bill and an economic development bill.

Lieutenant Governor Phil Scott assesses the session, the bills that passed, those that didn't and the deciding vote he cast this session.

Also on the program, over 600 scientists are meeting this week at UVM for the the 58th International Conference on Great Lakes Research. UVM Professor of Fisheries Ellen Marsden updates us on what's being discussed at the conference and how it can benefit Lake Champlain.

Plus we hear another segment from VPR's Live From the Fort series, as Justin Levinson of Vergennes performs "Let You Go."

Broadcast live on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
