Paint a picture of Vermont and you might focus on its impressive mountains. Or you might create an image of the flora and fauna. Another approach would be to highlight the people who have settled here.
The authors of "The Story of Vermont: A Natural and Cultural History" say you can't get an accurate depiction of the state without looking at the geological, biological, and cultural forces together.
We speak with authors Steve Trombulak and Chris McGrory Klyza about how Vermont's landscape and inhabitants have influenced one another.

Also on the program, the Community High School of Vermont has 17 campuses around the state with students ranging up to 75. The students, who are part of Vermont's prison and correction population, take classes in everything from from learning to read to advanced algebra. Governor Shumlin has called for cuts to the program in his budget address.
