VPR Cafe: Vermont Energy Bars

Energy bars are a staple for athletes, snacks and perhaps a meal when you don't have time to eat. There are different kinds of energy bars for before and after exercise. And there are two delicious high protein bars made here in Vermont. Melissa Pasanen, who writes for The Burlington Free Press Savorvore Section, talked to a nutritionist about what to look for on the label and taste tasted two bars made in Winooski.

The VPR Cafe is produced in collaboration with The Burlington Free Press and is made possible on VPR by the Vermont Community Foundation Farm and Food Initiative.

Franny was VPR's Director of Programming & Production.
Ric was a producer for Vermont Edition and host of the VPR Cafe.
