The Vermont Public Interest Research Group is the state’s largest member-based consumer and environmental organization and it's involved in many issues, like GMO labeling, clean energy plans, campaign finance reform and health care reform. On the next Vermont Edition, VPIRG Executive Director Paul Burns discusses how the group's priorities fared in the just-ended legislative session, and its agenda for the coming year.
Also in the program, speculation continues on whether Senator Bernie Sanders will run for president. We talk with political scientist Garrison Nelson of the University of Vermont, who’s followed Sanders' long career from the Burlington mayor’s office to the U.S. Senate.
And we listen back to some of the voices in this week’s news.
