Art Hounds: Art Fair & Opera

Art teacher Nora McDonough recommended the Bridge Street Art Fair this Saturday in Waitsfield. The fair features professional artists and an art auction and kicks off with a Walk-Rock-n-Roll Parade, beginning at 1:00 p.m. from the Big Picture Theater in Waitsfield.

Christina Doe and Anne Landenberger of Townshend suggested the Leland and Gray Players' performance of Shakespeare's, A Midsummer Night's Dream. Show times are Thursday, May 15th at 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 16th at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 17th at 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., in the Dutton Gymnasium on the Leland and Gray campus on Route 30 in Townshend.

Dr. Susan Deppe of Colchester recommended the Saints and Poets' Production Company performance ofOzma of Oz: A Tale Of Time. The troupe's actors use puppets to tell this L. Frank Baum story on Thursday, May 15th 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, May 17th at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m.; and Sunday, May 18th at 2:00 p.m. All shows are at the Black Box Theater at Main Street Landing on Lake Street in Burlington.

Bruce Westcott of Plainfield suggested Echo Valley Community Arts', The Marriage Of Figaro, this weekend and next at the Plainfield Opera House in Plainfield.
