Art Hounds: Vaudeville & One-Person Plays

Nancy Notterman of Hardwick recommended Vermont Vaudeville's spring show, Red Tape and Fine Print this weekend at the Hardwick Town House.

Shows are Friday and Saturday, May 9th and 10th at 8 p.m. with a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. Click here for tickets.

Musician Peg Tassey suggested the gala evening and silent auction Friday, May 9th at Studio Place Arts in Barre, featuring three floors of varied artwork, including one floor dedicated to only works done in black and white media. Local band Swale will play, as well as musician Andy Pitt.

Alan Greenspan of Wilmington recommended actor Seth Lepore's one-person performance, Firecracker Bye Bye this weekend at the historic Wilmington Town Hall on Friday, May 9th.

Dell Waterhouse suggested the one-person performance telling the story of the legendary fiddler and cross-dresser, Alfred "Crazy" Chase of Middlesex in, The Return of Crazy Chase. Allen Church plays the role of Chase on Friday, May 16th at 7:30 p.m. at the Worcester Town Hall.

Sculptor Kate Pond of Burlington suggested Unless at the Flynndog this Friday, May 9th at 6 p.m.

The show features works by sculptor Ria Blaas, artist Lisa Kippen and Susan Smereka.
