Reexamining Robert Frost

The poetry of Robert Frost is deeply etched with images of Vermont, but Frost’s legacy as a writer and as a man is a complicated source of debate among Frost devotees. Now, a massive research project is curating the complete letters of Robert Frost.

The Letters of Robert Frost provides new insight into the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet's private life and his work. Tuesday on Vermont Edition we talk with Donald Sheehy, one of the project's editors. The first of four volumes, which captures the poet's correspondence from 1886-1920, has just been published.

Also in the program, a look at Russia's law against gay propaganda against the backdrop of the Olympic Games. Journalist Jeff Sharlet, a Dartmouth English professor, discusses his article in GQ magazine, "Inside the Iron Closet: What It's Like To Be Gay In Putin's Russia."

Broadcast live on Tues., Feb. 18 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
