Tuesday on the show we’ll get to the bottom of how dental coverage fits into health care reform with Cassandra Gekas, from the Department of Vermont Health Access, and Jodie Hittle from Northeast Delta Dental.
We’ll also get a picture of the oral health of this state with Steve Arthur, director of Oral Health for the Department of Health. There are only 368 dentists in this Vermont (that's roughly 1 per every 1,700 people). Over a third of them practice in Chittenden county, and a third of them are over 60 years old. In fact, the Department of Health pays for a full-time dental recruiter to bring new dentists to settle here.
