There were "Bomp Bomp Bomp's"," Sha Na Na's", and "Dip Dip Dip's" everywhere rock & roll was played a half century ago, and this week Joel Najman's My Place presents a sampling of the great nonsense syllable songs of the rock era's first golden years. Memorable recordings by the Marcels, the Del-Vikings, Dion and the Belmonts and others are among the selections featured.
