Working on the Railroad (And Everywhere Else!)

Lots of songs for Labor Day weekend, some classic and modern calypso, and the train that carried Jimmie Rodgers home!

Please note:  This program will air on Sunday, September 1st from 7:00-9:00pm.

Colin McCaffrey and Wylie Shipman will perform on Thursday September 5th at Bagitos in Montpelier music begins at 6:00pm.

Colin will also be performing with Jim Pitman and Doug Reid at Picnic on the Strafford Common on Tuesday September 3rd from 6:00 to 7:30pm

Admission $5 minimum, all of which goes to the musicians. Kids and soccer balls are free.

Nova Scotia songwriters Carmel Mikol and Kim Wempe will play at the Bees Knees in Morrisville on Wednesday September 4th at 7:30pm and at Radio Bean in Burlington on Saturday September 7th at 8pm

Red Hot Juba will be playing at the South End Art Hop in Burlington on Friday September 6th.

Vermont Joy Parade will be at the Café Lena in Saratoga Springs on Saturday September 7th at 8pm

John Specker and his daughter Ida Mae will be performing their rousing brand of fiddle music at TAPS Tavern in Poultney, VT, on Friday, Sept 6, starting at 7:00 PM.

BANJO DAN’S BLUEGRASS REVIEW featuring The Sky Blue Boys plus Bob Amos & Catamount Crossing
will be happening at the  Haskell Opera House, Derby Line Vermont and Stanstead, Quebec
on Friday, September 6th    7:30 PM

The Monadnock Folklore Society presents the Peterborough, NH First Saturday Contra Dance on September 7th, featuring Nils Fredland calling with Elixir.  Dancing begins at 8pm, and the location is the Peterborough Town House.

Rick Norcross and his Ramblers will be performing on Church St. in Burlington on Thursday September 5th at 5:00pm as part of the Stowe Mtn Resort concert series.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
