Explaining The Health Care Exchange

AP/Toby Talbot

Fri 8/2/13 at Noon & 7PM: Vermont is the first state in the nation to finalize premium rates for the new state health care exchange, known as Vermont Health Connect. Beginning on January first, all individuals and businesses with fewer than 50 employees, will have to go through the exchange to purchase their insurance policies.

We'll look at what work remains to be done on the exchange, and answer your questions. Our guests are Mark Larson, commissioner of the Department of Vermont Health Access, and Robin Lunge, the governor’s director of the health care reform.

We have created a Health Care Exchange FAQ document from questions listeners have asked on our shows. We will keep adding to this document as we do more shows on the subject, so check back to see if your question is answered.

Post your questions or comments about the new health care exchange here or email them to vermontedition@vpr.net.

Bob Kinzel has been covering the Vermont Statehouse since 1981 — longer than any continuously serving member of the Legislature. With his wealth of institutional knowledge, he answers your questions on our series, "Ask Bob."
