A new how-to book provides do-it-yourself instruction to radically change the way you use electricity and fuel at home. On the next Vermont Edition, we'll learn how to get off the grid and totally rethink the energy systems in your home with Paul Scheckel, author of the Homeowner's Energy Handbook.

Also in the program, a physician explains how the concept of the a 'medical home' and how it's changing the way providers and patients think about health care. Dr. Mark Nunlist of White River Family Practice is our guest.

And we look ahead at the crowded calendar this week at the Vermont Statehouse.

Jane Lindholm is the host, executive producer and creator of But Why: A Podcast For Curious Kids.
