Police are urging drivers to proceed with caution as many local roads are slippery from freezing rain overnight. The Vermont Public Service Department is planning an update of the state’s telecommunications plan. Vermont has recovered over $8 million in civil penalties from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company following a 2005 lawsuit saying the company made unsubstantiated advertising claims.
