VPR Newscast, Saturday, September 14, 2013, 8:35 a.m.

560 Mobile Homes were destroyed or damaged by TS Irene in VT. That spurred affordable home advocates to take a close look at the state's mobile home housing stock. As VPR's Nancy Cohen reports, a more durable mobile home is being manufactured in White River Junction.  The town of St. Johnsbury is getting ready to sell a dilapidated vacant house for one dollar so it can build a new house on the site. More people boarded planes at Burlington International Airport last August compared to August of the previous year, but the airport is still not as busy as it was before the recession. Vermont political leaders and others are set to gather to remember Norris Hoyt, a former lawmaker and tax commissioner who died last month. A northern New Hampshire fuel dealer faces additional fines for taking too long to close its above-ground oil storage tank.
