A group is working with Vermont towns to build a more robust web presence for town governments, local businesses and non-profits to make it easier for them to get information out. The widow of a Massachusetts man who drowned during a triathlon in Vermont last August has filed a $1 million lawsuit against the event's organizers. Lisa Gosselin, who helped grow Eating Well Media Group, has been named Economic Development Commissioner for Vermont.  A Vermont State Police trooper says a crash that destroyed a van on Interstate 89 in Georgia shows the value of wearing seatbelts.

Peter was a Producer/Announcer at VPR until 2015. He began his public radio career in 2007 at WHQR-FM in Wilmington, North Carolina where he served as Morning Edition host and reporter, covering county government and Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base. His work has won several Associated Press awards and has appeared on NPR's All Things Considered, Weekend Edition, and PRI's This American Life. A graduate of the creative writing program at the University of Maine at Farmington, Peter enjoys writing, cooking and traveling.
