Hot and humid weather is expected to continue for another day and ISO New England has asked consumers to voluntarily conserve power during peak hours. Work is finally about to start on the Rail Train in the Lamoille Valley.  Central Vermont's Moretown Landfill has agreed to close its last remaining section, but may apply for permission in the future to open a new one. The Vermont Supreme Court has upheld a lower court's ruling that sawmill operations on a Pomfret farm are part of the farming operations and therefore exempt from local zoning.
