Vermont's smallest hospital has become the latest to opt out of the state's new assistance-in-dying law, but hospital officials expect to revisit the issue soon. More than 2,000 families last year benefited from a state program that provides home care to children with disabilities. But a change in eligibility standards could mean diminished support for about half of those families, and advocates are sounding the alarm. Construction could begin within the next few days on a rail-trail in the Northeast Kingdom.
