Canadian border officials are on heightened alert after the disappearance and flight of one of the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings.

In the state's effort to provide broadband access to all Vermonters by year's end, the focus is on some of the most remote areas.

The Labor Department says the state's unemployment rate dropped to 4.2 percent in March.
