Vermont Edition will be on hiatus through Labor Day, as the program prepares to welcome new hosts and senior producers Connor Cyrus and Mikaela Lefrak in early September.
During that time, you’ll hear NPR’s 1A from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., as well as from 7-8 p.m.
The program has been on a modified schedule since March, when longtime host Jane Lindholm stepped away to produce But Why and special news projects.
The show will return with the wide-ranging topics and in-depth conversations our listeners have counted on for years. Our aim is to make the show even more accessible and inclusive. With two hosts, we will have more flexibility around sound, reporting and live broadcasts from around the state, as well as more opportunities to engage with Vermonters, and incorporate voices from communities across the region.
Bob Kinzel, who has hosted the program most Fridays since the show launched as a daily program in 2007, will continue to be heard on the show as a political analyst and contributor.
