Vermont Public Radio has once again been named one of the Best Places to Work in Vermont. It's the third straight year VPR has made the list, placing 11th on the list of the top small to mid-sized companies in the state.
The annual list is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Vermont. Companies from across the state were evaluated on company workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics; and a survey to measure the employee experience.
“We are thrilled that VPR has been recognized again for being one of the best places to work in Vermont,” said VPR President Robin Turnau. “VPR is a remarkable place to work. Every member of our team is committed to excellence, and each new day is an opportunity to learn and grow and better yet, a chance to make VPR a stronger, better community resource for Vermonters. I want to thank the staff for their passion, talent and dedication, as well as our listeners and supporters who partner with us to make public radio thrive in Vermont.”
The program was created in 2006 by Vermont Business Magazine and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, in association with the Vermont State Council, Vermont Department of Labor, Vermont Department of Economic Development and Best Companies Group.
VPR was among 30 honorees this year. The rankings were announced at an awards presentation March 26 at the ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center in Burlington.
