Daily Drive Report: You Did It!

From all of us at VPR, thank you!!

Our fall membership drive ended in a whirlwind, with an incredible last day that raised over $60,000 in support for the stories that matter and the programming that you love.

We also want to thank our 11,000 strong Sustaining Members, who made a shorter drive possible (8 days compared to a typical 10-day drive). The more Sustainers we have the less on-air fundraising we do each year!

Curious about the details? Read on for some of the stats and information resulting from the drive:

  • We raised $278,701, exceeding our goal by more than $28,000 or 11%!
  • VPR received more than 3,100 pledges with an average gift of $88.
  • Hello 607 new Sustaining Members!
  • Click:  31% of pledges were made online.
  • Many thanks to those donors who offered a combined $58,000 in challenge dollars for this drive. Challenges help motivate listeners to take action and support VPR.
  • We welcomed 850 new members. Of all pledges received, 34% were from new members, a high water mark for VPR and a positive sign for the our future!
  • Our "Throw back Thursday" vintage mug offer was a big hit with 468 listeners making a pledge for this one day offer.
