Down From Canada, And David Bowie Em Portuguese

Brazilian pop star Seu Jorge

Lots of favorites, including a marvelous collection of David Bowie songs, played bossa nova style and sung in Portuguese by Seu Jorge, a talented musician with an undeniably unique take on Bowie.

This program will air on Sunday August 23rd from 7-10 p.m.

This week's calendar announcements:

A New Concert Series hosted by Vermont musician Patrick Ross begins on Sunday August 30th at 4 p.m. at the W. Newbury Town Hall.  The Matt Flinner Trio will be the featured performers. The band will also be playing on Saturday August 29th at Sweet Melissa’s in Montpelier.

Woodchuck’s Revenge will be performing at the Bondville Fair on Friday August 28th at 11 a.m.

Willa Mamet and Paul Miller will be playing at the Flying Stage in Barre on Saturday August 29th and at a house concert in Calais on Wednesday August 26th. For more information, please check their website:  http://www.kitchen-table-music.com/

Woods Tea Company will perform at the E. Fairfield Meeting House Concerts Series on Friday August 28th – doors open at 6:30; music begins at 7.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
